Sorry in advance for the long review folks.
I have been actively fighting acne for 12 years now. I have highly reactive skin, and every acne treatment has broken me out worse while the gentler products do nothing. For 12 YEARS I have dealt with having at least 3 cystic bumps on my face at all times that take at least 2 months to clear up. When you add in all of the hyper pigmentation that my face has collected over the years, you can only imaging how much of a mess my skin is. Makeup won't even cover it anymore.
Last week I held back tears as I overheard a customer at my work that was a police officer tell his wife that I was a meth head. He actually made eye contact with me so intensely that I think he was seeing if my pupils were dilated. A friend has been encouraging me to check out Origins for months, and I finally went after work that night. I'm test driving the whole zero oil line- which is shocking, because I've always been too nervous about breaking out to ever introduce more than one product per month to my skin routine.
Day one- I tried the cleanser- and it actually relieved the itchiness in my active cysts- I could actually FEEL my skin sighing.
Day two- I added the toner because my skin loved the cleanser so much, still no reactions!
Yesterday, I started using the samples I was given of the spot remover pads, moisturizer, and they also recommended that I try smarty plants CC cream as a day moisturizer/make up primer.
It's only day four now- but still no reactions. I have 1 cyst left, that is getting smaller every day. I have had a couple of tiny pin sized white heads that have popped up in the last couple days, but start to disappear the same day. My skin always purges with a new product, but that's such a minor purge that I'm not even concerned about it. The darker hyper pigmentation marks are still there, but the lighter ones are almost completely gone!
I took my teenage daughter to dinner last night, and she leaned over mid meal and whispered to me "that guy was just checking you out until he saw your wedding ring"! Woo hoo- I needed that! :)
Thank you Origins! You have helped someone that many doctors, dermatologists, and skin estheticians never could, and I will always be more grateful than you will ever know.

If not for the EDTA ingredient I would recommend the product. I have used Origins products for many years and rave about them to family and friends, so the fact that EDTA was included in the formulation of this product is disappointing. I would however highly recommend the facial cleanser "Checks and Balances"- hands down the best cleanser on the market. Origins please consider reformulating this product.

I love this cleanser! I have oily, sensitive, blemish prone skin and this truly removes all impurities without stripping my skin. I first was using the Checks and Balances cleanser because I was convinced that I was causing more harm to my skin using more "acne targeted" products, but I never felt like it really cleaned my skin, though it smells great! Ever since I've swtiched to Zero Oil, my skin has improved dramatically without that dramatic approach which usually leaves me red and irritated. I love how gentle yet effective this cleanser is, and thankfully it does not have that mediciney fragrance that you usually find with acne cleansers. I also want to mention how I appreciate the consideration of not putting the words "ACNE" on the front of your products. For me, this was a major plus. I am already embarrassed with my occassional skin breakouts that having it written on a product that others will view daily (ie: my boyfriend) was something that always bothered me. Thank you Origins for giving us who struggle with "adult acne" a cleanser that is good for both me and the world we live in.

I'm one week into using all of the acne/oil control products and so far my skin is looking much better. Usually, if I am sensitive to something in a new product, I'll have red bumps all over my forehead within a week. My skin seems far less oily, too. Based on previous prescription acne treatment, I do believe that using a benzoyl peroxide with salicylic acid is the best way to treat pimples. Since I am using the BP along with the Origins, my face is a bit on the drier side. The Zero Oil lotion is helping with that. I've pretty much tried it all in the last 15 years and am happy for now with the Origins products.
