Since our founding in 1990, we have donated millions of dollars to local, national and international causes that benefit people, animals and the planet.
Every holiday season, we create a plush giftable stuffed animal inspired by one of the world’s endangered species with a portion of the proceeds donated to a charity to ensure the conservation of that animal’s habitat. Since 1990, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been donated to recipients such as Seraa Wildlife Conservancy and the Gorilla Conservation Programs.
Since 1998, we’ve donated over $320,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation supported by the sale of select products during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Since 2005, we’ve donated $150,000 from the sale of Origins Nourishing oil for body & massage to The Integrative Therapies Program for Children with Cancer at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian. The Program provides children with cancer with an array of non-invasive methods-including yoga, aromatherapy, massage and herbal consultations-to help improve their quality of life as they undergo chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.
Since 2005, we’ve helped raise over $1,000,000 for Project Sunshine - a nationwide hospital program that cares for children with cancer, AIDS and other medical challenges. In addition, The Origins Oasis Program at Project Sunshine gives parents the tools to relax and develop a support system with other parents in similar situations. And scores of Origins volunteers visit hospitals every month to provide parents with wellness services.
Since 2006, Dr. Andrew Weil has donated over $450,000 from royalties from sales of Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins products directly to the Weil Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting integrative medicine through training, education and research.
And so many others. Beyond our brand participation, we encourage members of the Origins team, from our executive staff to our store Guides, to live a positive, giving lifestyle. And we facilitate their volunteerism through programs such as Origins Giving.
