Our deep commitment to beauty and wellness through nature has never been greater. As part of our commitment to bringing safe, effective products to our consumers, all of our raw materials and ingredients are reviewed prior to being shipped to us by our suppliers and must meet stringent raw materials specifications and processing parameters. Once received at point of manufacture, our Quality Assurance department tests the materials to further ensure adherence to specifications. And we constantly study peer reviewed scientific publications to ensure that all of our ingredients meet or exceed global government, regulatory and scientific standards and requirements.
Our finished products undergo rigorous safety and efficacy evaluation and testing. We are equally committed to bringing to market products that comply with applicable regulations in every country in which our products are sold.
Our products have always been formulated without Phthalates, Petroleum, Paraffin, dyes, mineral oil, the chemical sunscreen PABA and Animal Ingredients (except cruelty-free honey and beeswax.) And Origins tests its products on volunteer panels*.
Recently certain ingredients with previous long histories of safe use in the cosmetic industry have become the focus of attention. In response to consumer desires, Origins initiated a voluntary reformulation program to free our formulas of Parabens, Propylene Glycol and DEA. All existing Origins products have been reformulated and will begin to phase in as they become available through our standard manufacturing process.
Furthermore we use no synthetic fragrances (which are often made from petroleum or its by-products) or synthetic colors in our Skin and Body care products.
